St Luke's is made up of people who love Jesus.

The ages of our congregation range from 7 to 95 and there

is a real sense that we are family.

At the core of what we do is worship that is rich in Methodist

tradition but also seeks to balance between contemporary

and traditional styles of worship. In our services we seek to

present the gospel in clear and engaging ways with room to

reflect, praise, worship, laugh and sing as we engage with

the living God.

What to expect when you come to our services

As you come into the church, you'll be warmly greeted by people at the doors and offered a hymn book and our monthly notice sheet, which provides details of all the activities that take place at St Luke's during the week. Organ music will be quietly playing while you take your seat in the church, setting a reflective tone for worship.

The service begins at 10.30am with hymn singing followed by a time of stillness as we prepare our hearts and minds for worship. During the service we bring praise and worship to God through a variety of prayers, singing, music and scripture.

There is a children's section to the service, a sermon and once a month the sacrament of Holy Communion. After the children's talk they go to their own "Sunday club". On the second Sunday of each month the children are invited to remain in the service. After worship we gather for coffee and fellowship in the church.

All Age Worship celebrations take place four times a year at Harvest, Advent, Mothering Sunday and in the summer. At those services we worship as a church family with something for all ages.
